Our Artists Best Covers

By: Charlotte Ulman

Our artists are not only exceptionally talented songwriters but also remarkable vocalists. Covering another artist's song brings the challenge of honoring the original, and we believe these renditions from Alex Blue, Ruthie Collins, and Street Corner Symphony exceed expectations.

Alex Blue - Never really Over (Katy Perry cover)

Alex Blue's rendition of Katy Perry's "Never Really Over" infuses a vibrant pop energy, delivering a powerful and memorable chorus. Filmed in august of 2019, right on the cusp of a global pandemic, uncertainty, and fear, this cover offers a sense of hope and inclusivity to its listeners. The melody is captivating, and the harmonies stand out beautifully in this performance!

Ruthie Collins - One Last Time (Ariana Grande cover)

We dove deeper to discover this gem: Ruthie Collins performing Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time” backstage before a show in 2015. Collins infuses the pop song with her unique charm, slowing it down and adding a folk twist—a challenging feat for a pop track. Her reimagined rendition transforms the song into a beautiful piece that we absolutely adore!

Street Corner Symphony - The Evolution of Country Music

Street Corner Symphony presents a unique twist with this a cappella cover of iconic country songs spanning from the 1930s to the present day. Their harmonious blend of voices, enhanced by Armand's resonant bass, creates a captivating performance. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, we take pride in seeing our artists connect deeply with the city's rich country music heritage.

That Summer Feeling...

There are so many emotions that come with the warmth of the upcoming months. From feelings of nostalgia, freedom, unending joy, and a touch of careless abandon, Summer gifts us the chance to step away from the chaos of our daily lives and soak in the beauty of the world around us. Music has the remarkable ability to capture these feelings, forging soundtracks that are synonymous with sunny days, sprawling sunsets, and late-night adventures. But what exactly gives music that classic summer feeling? Let’s dive into the elements that make certain songs the perfect companion for the warmest season of the year.

1. Instrumentation: Songs that demonstrate feelings of Summer often have bright and easy-going instrumentation that often evoke images of clear skies, breezy, coastal shores, and never-ending sunshine. This can include instruments such as acoustic guitars, brass sections, and ukuleles, and tropical features like steel drums and marimbas which can transport listeners to beachside paradises. These can go even further with the harmonica, bongos, and the accordion. The use of major keys and lively chord progression enhances this effect. All of these instruments display vibrant sounds that bring warmth and rhythm to an atmosphere.

Examples:

  • Brown Eyed Girl- Van Morrison

  • Everywhere- Fleetwood Mac

  • Margaritaville- Jimmy Buffett

2. Catchy and Upbeat Melodies: You know when you find yourself humming a song long after initially hearing it? This is the essence of a good summer staple. This type of catchiness makes the music easy to listen to and remember, and even better, easy to sing along with. There is nothing quite like belting the lyrics of a song with your arms out the window, a friend at the wheel, and the warm breeze on your face. This type of communal enjoyment is what makes some of the best memories, and the best songs.

Examples:

  • So Good- Alex Blue

  • Espresso- Sabrina Carpenter

  • Good Vibrations- The Beach Boys

3. Feel-Good Lyrics: Lyrics play a crucial role in matching the sweet ambiance of summer. They must focus on the positive experiences that celebrate the joys of the season, which often are expressed in themes of romance, adventure, relaxation, and quality time spent with those closest to us. They lift the everyday pressures we face off our shoulders and allow us to slip into the blissful moments of a cloudless day. This is why Summer is often linked with the idea of freedom, where we are given the space to let go and give into relaxation.

Examples:

  • Super Rich Kids- Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt

  • Dancing Queen- ABBA

  • Feathered Indians- Tyler Childers

4. Nostalgic Themes: Summer is in most cases associated with heightened emotions, especially in our younger years where we truly had the time to rest and restore our minds, giving a general sense of well-being and happiness. Hearing songs from these periods, and even songs that sound similar to them can trigger vivid memories of these times. The repetitive nature of this music, mixed with the psychological highs of the season, holds consistent and intimate spaces in our minds, forever to be replayed.

Examples:

  • Great Wide Open- Ruthie Collins

  • Bus Driver 2 (It All Matters After All)- Derek Webb, Caedmon’s Call

  • Summer- Modest Mouse

5. Cultural Influences: Music with regional influences, specifically from tropical or coastal areas, often embodies the vibe that we associate with this season. Genres like Reggae, Calypso, and Latin music bring with them a sense of community that is exhibited at festive gatherings and warm weather. These types of music are seen as timeless tracks that can be linked to summer through their cultural expressions and smooth-going sounds.

Examples:

  • Could You Be Loved- Bob Marley & The Wailers

  • Why Kiki?- Iam Tongi

  • Yo No Soy Celoso- Bad Bunny

Spring 2024 Intern Wrap Up!

It’s hard to believe how fast this Spring 2024 semester has flown. We’ve asked each of our interns to wrap up their semester in a couple of sentences. These last days with interns are so bittersweet! We have been so blessed to have them work with us semester and can’t wait to meet the new friends that are going to join us over the summer semester. Stay tuned to meet them so soon! But until then, here are the last words from our Spring 24 interns.

Grace Frazier

Being at Olivia management this past year has taught me so much and paved such a smooth path for me to grow. Getting to know Erin, Grace and Sidney has been an experience I will never forget. This is a company that does amazing business and I will be forever proud to have worked with them for the time that I did. Sad that this chapter is closing, but I know that there is so much more to come from both myself and everyone at Olivia. As a graduating senior, I am very emotional, but after working with these amazing women, it’s hard not to be.

Tyler Prondzinski

I really enjoyed my semester interning at Olivia Management! The practical, real world knowledge that I walked away with was amazing. There are just some things you can't learn in school, and a lot of the music business is about experiencing it yourself or learning secondhand. I specifically learned so much about marketing and event promotion that I have a lot to unpack!

Miriam DeYoung

This last day in office with the amazing Olivia Management team is so bittersweet. I absolutely love each and every soul that I’ve met and had the pleasure to work with over my past two semesters here! Grace is such a fabulous cheerleader, Sidney is always on top of her ish, Erin is such an amazing leader and friend. I’m going to miss them with every piece of my heart but, luckily, you can’t get rid of me yet. I’m so honored to have been asked to stay on for this next month while Erin is getting MARRIED and Sidney is graduating from Berklee (such a fun month for personal OM achievements). I’m so blessed that, in a town of opportunities, I’ve been offered this one.

Nick Royall

I started my MBA program last fall knowing that I wanted to pursue a career in artist management, but without any professional experience in the field. My internship at Olivia Management this spring semester was a valuable first look at what really goes into managing musicians. I was able to work alongside and learn from such amazing folks, and my time here only solidified my choice to pursue artist management as a career. Erin is such a knowledgeable and effective leader, and I appreciated her making herself available with her time and resources throughout the semester. Everyone at Olivia Management provided a welcoming environment for me to learn in, and I hope I’m lucky enough to be in workplaces with a similar culture in the future.

OM Artist Feature: Derek Webb

By Nick Royall

It’s always exciting when our artists are releasing new music, and Derek Webb has had an eventful year so far. Earlier this month Derek put out the highly-anticipated and long-awaited sequel to “Bus Driver,” a song he wrote for his band’s 1997 self-titled album, Caedmon’s Call. “Bus Driver 2 (It All Matters After All)” follows the same titular bus driver 26 years later as they reflect on the meaning they’ve found in their work after 40 years in the driver’s seat. The song is a reminder that regardless of how big or small a role you play in the lives of those around you, the effects are greater than you could ever know, and it really does all matter after all.

Derek also had a new single drop in January called “Inside Out.” Through this single, Derek sings of how actions speak louder than words and lies never stay hidden for long. We think he killed it with the songwriting for this one, and if you watch the lyric video you’ll probably agree.

2024 has already been a big year for Derek - and he’s just getting started. You can see him in concert with Flamy Grant next month on his End of Days Tour or catch him this summer on his It All Matters After All Tour. In the meantime, keep an eye out for new music from him soon!

The Positives and Negatives of AI in the Music Industry

by Tyler Prondzinski

The big talk in the past month or so (or basically the past year ever since ChatGPT came out) has been AI and the perceived negative effects it has on many sectors of society. We’ll be talking about some of the positives and negatives about it surrounding its use in the music industry.

Positive: Billy Joel comes back with an AI Music Video

Early last month, Billy Joel released a new song called “Turn the Lights Back On,” a fantastic song from someone who has released little material over the past thirty years. The music video for the song was filmed but assisted with AI. They had a stand in actor dress up like Billy Joel in the ‘70s, ‘80s, and 90’s, and then ran it through a groundbreaking AI program that has been used by the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Juice Wrld. The AI program transformed the actor’s face into three scarily accurate depictions of a younger Billy Joel. It was genius idea given the meaning of the song and the years that have past.

Positive: Tennessee Enacts the ELVIS Act

Just a couple of weeks ago, the state of Tennessee just enacted a law concerning the “protections for songwriters, performers, and music industry professionals' voice from the misuse of artificial intelligence,” according to a statement from the Governor’s office. This is a big step, making Tennessee the first state in the nation to enact legislation like this, though these concerns have been brewing for the past year. On a side note, I find it clever that they decided to name it the ELVIS act, standing for “Ensuring Likeness Voice and Image Security.”

Negative: Deepfakes

In the past few months, companies have been sprouting up specializing in creating AI models of the voices of pop stars and celebrities. Legal battles have ensued, one of the most notable taking place in the UK. Britain based cite Jammable currently has over 3000 AI models of famous people, but it was left with no choice but to take down the models of Drake and Amy Winehouse after getting a cease and desist in the mail from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

The question of creating fake AI models of artists is surrounded by various ethical, moral, and legal issues. Feeding AI software copyrighted material to create a model likely violates federal copyright law and will soon be challenged in the courts. Since the model doesn’t have the limits humans have, these models have the potential to take away revenue from these artists by generating unlimited amounts of material.

Negative: AI and TikTok

The relationship between TikTok and AI is a never ending cycle. Someone creates a cover of Elvis singing some modern pop song using AI and it makes its way to social media platforms and TikTok, where it goes viral and causes more users to check out the service. Universal Music recently made the news for pulling their artist’s music from TikTok, mainly because of a lack of agreement on a licensing deal for their artist’s songs. But the elephant in the room that isn’t getting mentioned is Universal’s fight against AI, which was another component of why this deal went sour. Most artists are not getting paid for the use of their name, image, and likeness in these AI generated songs, and TikTok is proliferated with them.

Ending Thoughts

A few days ago during a podcast, Roger Daltrey of the Who said this about AI: “It’s going to destroy the music industry if we’re not careful.” I think these words are words to the wise. Some guardrails have to be put into place before things get too out of hand and the music industry suffers the same lost revenue it did in the days of pirating and the beginning of streaming. AI does have some creative benefits but like anything, it is a tool to be used sparingly.

A Day In The Life of an Olivia Management Intern 🥰

By Miriam DeYoung

Hello beautiful people! My name is Miriam DeYoung, I’m a songwriting major and music business minor at Belmont University, this is my second semester as an intern here at Olivia Management, and I’m going to take you along for the ride on a typical day when I’m in office!

Tuesday night we had our company outing to TOP GOLF (in which I was absolutely demolished). Erin and the team are very intentional about getting to know interns as people which is such an amazing thing. Erin, Grace, and Sidney are ✨amazing✨

This morning, I started off my day looking over my tasks that I’ve been assigned, and then picking up some others for my day. This includes things such as

Frazier and I were interns together last semester and we’re not in the office on the same days, hence this amazing affirmation from her 🤩

  • writing this blog 😊

  • designing a page on Mary Gauthier’s website (you’ll see it soon, keep an eye out)

  • Reading through my affirmations - we do these every week at our Monday staff meetings but I join staff online so I check mine out on Tuesday when I’m in office

our beautifully organized snack shelf :)

Took a little snack break. My personal favorite is the fact that we have poptarts and motts fruit snacks, the nostalgia is real!!
We have lots of snacks in office and, if you’re lucky like I was last semester, you get to go shopping and pick out whatever you want to have during the day.

I also had a meeting with our amazing founder Erin Anderson while in office today. Every month, Erin sits down with each of us to answer any questions and help us in any way that she can which is so amazing. Today we talked about priorities in Nashville, about future internships, networking and so much more. Erin is such an amazing leader and I’m always trying to learn as much as I can about how she does it!

Thanks for tuning in, if you’re by chance looking for a Summer 24 or Fall 24 internship, you should 100% apply the link on our website, we’d love to see if you’d make a good fit for our OM team! It’s such a great space to learn more about artist management and work alongside some wonderful, kind people like Erin, Grace, and Sidney.

With that, have a FABULOUS day 🫶

House of Pancake Showcase at Folk Alliance International!

By Tyler Prondzinski

As a Nashville-based folk and Americana artist management company, here's what we think about great folk-americana artists! We are curating a special event at Folk Aliance this Friday night with House of Pancakes. Here is a synopsis of all the great music that will be played!

Stacy Antonel

An idiosyncratic artist with a background in classical piano, Stacy Antonel makes jazzy, country-leaning, clever Americana that feels both vintage and hyper-modern at the same time. Her latest release, Always the Outsider feels like an elegant relic from a bygone era, other times it’s a glimpse into the distant, mystical future of country music.

Stephanie Sammons

Stephanie Sammons is a Folk-leaning, Americana singer-songwriter who splits her time between Dallas and Nashville music scenes. Stephanie has studied extensively under Grammy-nominated singer-songwriters Mary Gauthier, Emily Saliers (Grammy winner), Beth Nielsen Chapman, Gretchen Peters, Jonatha Brooke (critically acclaimed), Verlon Thompson, and Suzy Bogguss. Her first full-length album, produced by Mary Bragg at Sound Emporium Studio B in Nashville, is set for release in May of 2024.

Evan Boyer

Up-and-coming Americana artist Evan Boyer is not a polished, perfect singer-songwriter plucked from the glossy pages of a music magazine: He’s the genuine article, making real and relatable music from the rough fodder of personal experience. Approaching songwriting with a healthy dose of humanity, he draws inspiration from the raw edges of his own, admittedly flawed existence, offering the world a unique brand of country-leaning Americana that is down-to-earth, authentic, and emotionally compelling. This month he dropped the single “Home to You” from his forthcoming album, The Devil in Me, which is due to be released May 3.

Mary Bragg

Praised by the World Café for her “refined, sumptuously melancholy take on Southern storytelling,” Bragg’s been exploring love and its complications for much of her career now, wrestling with longing, desire, heartbreak, and insecurity across a string of widely lauded albums. NPR dubbed her breakout 2017 release, Lucky Strike, one of the year’s best, while her 2019 follow-up, Violets as Camouflage, earned similar raves, with the Nashville Scene calling it “magnificent” and Rolling Stone hailing its mix of “classic country twang and “gentle chamber-pop.” Her latest album came out in 2022 to more critical acclaim.

Remi Goode

Remi Goode is a trained classical guitarist and choral singer turned alternative folk/pop singer-songwriter. When she first decided to put her voice and guitar together and write original music, she quickly developed a style that highlights her careful classical sensibilities, pure vocal quality, and the distinctive sound of a nylon-string guitar. She writes with blunt honesty and introspection, searching for the root of the dynamics within a relationship or a deeper understanding of her own self-conception. Although Remi’s analysis of herself and others is often unforgiving, her songs always contain a qualifying aspect of emotional ambiguity—an expression of both grief and acceptance at having to navigate a world that isn’t black or white.

Helena Hallberg

Helena Hallberg is a Swiss/Swedish performer, songwriter and actor based in Nashville, TN. A passionate polyglot, multi-instrumentalist and producer, she often brings her four native languages into her work."No matter whether it's musical theatre, folk, pop or jazz, Helena Hallberg is like a Swiss Army Knife made in Sweden: Versatile and flawless" (Ticketcorner Magazine). In March 2024, Hallberg will release her debut album EPITHET. Recorded at the iconic Power Station at BerkleeNYC in New York City and recorded by an all-female production team comprising of Hallberg, Mary Bragg, and Gloria Kaba, EPITHET promises to be a musical journey like no other.

Paula Boggs

Hailing from Seattle, Paula Boggs blends jazz and Americana, touring and releasing a steady stream of music since 2010.“Boggs makes...urban, jazzy music...within the structures of...folk, bluegrass, and...blues...[s]he calls... “soulgrass,” and reminds me a little of Gil Scott-Heron, if only for the razor-intensity of her words...in a croony-rich street voice...evocative and easy to like” (Dave Good, San Diego Reader).

Nathan K

Hailing from Michigan, his songs are sad, but not without hope. They are hopeful, but not overly optimistic. They are specific, but strangely relatable. Honest, but not abrasive. He is shy, but long winded – the stories behind the songs are often longer than the songs themselves. “A curious mix of sadness and joy, haunting in the sense that it lingers but not completely morose or scary. A nostalgic and poignant amalgamation of fondness and love and regret, something crushing yet life affirming” (Wake The Deaf).

Emma Butterworth

Chicago songwriter Emma Butterworth is carving a niche for herself in the American indie scene with her uniquely soulful brand of indie-leaning folk rock. A keen storyteller and careful lyricist, she cuts straight to the heart of life’s big questions, examining moments of love, loss, growth, and self-acceptance with characteristic wit and wisdom. Her cheeky stage presence reveals a curious mind and a penchant for deeply melancholic songs, while her lush vocals have been compared to iconic acts like Brandi Carlile and The Head and the Heart. There’s a casual power when Butterworth sings that feels both practiced and raw: agile, occasionally vulnerable, but always sure—hers is a voice you’d follow in an emergency. The root of that strength lies in her own, joyful sense of self, which infuses even her most somber ballads with a buoyant, silver-lined charm. Or, as explained in the eponymous track from her recently released album, Fool’s Gold: “People say I’m lost without sweet words from a man, / but I never had trouble knowing just who I am.”

Jay Gavin

Jay writes and sings songs for fans of real county music and is making a name for his catchy hooks, foot-stomping, autobiographical, everyman songs and good timin’ live shows. The Nashville Songwriters Ass. Intl. named Jay Gavin a writer that’s “One to Watch” in June 2023. At home in Canada, Jay loves hosting regular song circles bringing together the local and touring songwriting community.

Toria Richings

Toria is an Americana singer-songwriter, having spent the last few years recording and releasing music, fine-tuning her own sound, her songs have a soulful and modern edge with a strong country influence. Toria writes from the heart and promises to take your soul on an emotional journey with love laughter and tears!!

Alright Alright

Husband and wife Seth and China Kent of Alright Alright create orchestral folk for the open-minded and poetry for the broken-hearted.  Though their songs often bear a deep sense of tradition, Alright Alright aren’t afraid to experiment with boundaries, testing the limits of genre and expectations for content. From southern industrial towns to street signs to abandoned cars on I-70, there is a sense of rootedness that lends depth and dimension to their songwriting. These songs are as real as your kitchen table. Yet there’s also a striking vulnerability present, an openness and willingness to connect that draws fans from around the world to reach out and feel held by their music.

Robby Hecht

Robby Hecht has been captivating audiences as a touring singer-songwriter for over two decades, combining quietly impactful songwriting reminiscent of Tom Waits or Jim Croce with the graceful vocal resonance of James Taylor. With a remarkable blend of insightful lyricism, memorable melodies, and a voice that carries both strength and tenderness, his music resonates with audiences from all walks of life.

Exciting New Releases from Our Consulting Clients!

By Grace Frazier

Release Run Down:

JEMS “The Weather”

JEMS' latest single, "The Weather," is a triumphant testament to the trio's artistry, emotional depth, and resilience. Renowned for their alternative folk sound, JEMS brings forth a passionate composition that transcends the boundaries of mere music and delves into the realms of profound emotion.” - RDFO Blog

Lana Nauphal “Is It Raining In California”

“Lana Nauphal wrote this song during a very stormy summer spent in Washington, D.C. as she explains: ‘Summers there are so hot and humid, the pressure builds until it breaks into raging storms – storms which mirrored my state of mind.  ‘Is It Raining in California?’ is about the messy middle part of getting over someone, when you’re still yearning for them but don’t want to be – you ask if it’s raining where they are, however unlikely that may be, in the hopes that you still might be sharing something.’” - Americana UK

Holly Lerski “Chicago”

“This is a captivating single, beginning with some nicely strummed guitar and mellow strings, before being embellished with a rhythm section. Holly has a really warm and emotive voice that rises and falls through a melody with a jazzy scat styling. She mixes the lyrics with a certain breathless intonation which drifts effortlessly above a varied and thoughtful arrangement.” - Fatea Magazine

Helena Hallberg “Epithet”

“Recorded at the iconic Power Station at BerkleeNYC in New York City and recorded by an all-female production team comprising of Hallberg, Mary Bragg, and Gloria Kaba, EPITHET promises to be a musical journey like no other. It’s a transformative adventure through the captivating landscapes of her music and storytelling.”

Evan Boyer “Home To You”

“I'm incredibly flawed, I constantly make missteps, but I'm always trying to be better. And with all that, my wife has loved me and dealt with my baggage (booze, depression, mental health, etc.). So I knew I wanted a track on this album to acknowledge and celebrate the people who have unwavering love for people like me.” - Evan Boyer

Leah Marlene “We’re All Buying Into A Dream”

“The EP—which includes three previously released singles, “Flashes,” “Dying Wish,” and “Lottery”—also ruminates on living in the moment and cherishing life’s little joys—something Marlene had to re-learn at the end of her “Idol” experience.” - WGLT 89.1

New Year, New Music!!!

By Sydney Wann

While the rest of us are just now settling into our 2024 rhythm, our OM team and artists have been prepping for 2024 for months. We’re excited to be able to share a couple of new releases, tour announces, and more to come.

Derek Webb just released his new single “Inside Out,” which he described as a “Piano-driven ‘folktronica’ that reflects on the ‘Fruits of the Spirit’ that serves both encouragement and warning.” His raw vocal performance over electronic beats and sweeping syncopated synths is reminiscent of Thom Yorke or Coldplay. “Inside Out” grows into a crescendo of orchestral synthesizers and ends with Webb’s bold and defiant declaration, “I do not fear your god’s hell.” You can listen to his new single anywhere you get your music by clicking here.

Also, remember to grab your tickets to see Derek Webb on tour with Flamy Grant this spring. He’s starting in Florida this weekend and there are so many amazing shows on the roster. For tickets to a show near you, click here.

Just announced new show dates for May, “An Evening With Mary Gauthier.” Shows span throughout the Southeast. Mary is also continuing her shows. Florida, too, this month. To get tickets, click the link here: https://www.marygauthier.com/tour

Be sure to stay tuned with OM social medias, artists, and more, we have so many more fun announcements up our sleeve!

Fall Intern Wrap Up!

Every semester, our interns take a moment to reflect on the past three months. Below you can read about their experiences, what they have learned, and what their plans for the future are!

Grace Frazier

This exceptional team is made up of passionate individuals, with dedication, and all committed to fostering an environment of support and nourishment for one another's personal and professional growth. Be it through engaging conversations, collaborative projects, or internship meetings, everyone ensures that each and every team member feels cherished and empowered to embrace their authentic selves. Recognizing the competitive and ever-evolving nature of the music industry, there is a belief at OM that cultivating personal growth should be equally prioritized alongside professional success.

I can't believe how quickly this semester has flown by! As my senior year comes to a close, I find myself brimming with excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. Reflecting on the incredible moments and challenges I've experienced during my time at Belmont, I feel a profound sense of gratitude for the opportunities that have shaped me into the person I am today. With the next semester on the horizon, I'm eager to return and dive headfirst into my work at OM once more. Armed with newfound knowledge and a determination to succeed, I am ready to work hard, push my boundaries, and face any obstacles that come my way. I aspire to make the most of my final months at Belmont and at OM, ensuring that I end my senior year on a high note, feeling confident and prepared to step into the real world beyond my time at school

Grace Frazier

On the Olivia management website, where you’re probably reading this, it’s written that OM fosters joy through music and entertainment. This is proven true to me every second that I spend in our office space.

Being an intern at Olivia Management doesn’t mean that you’re just a student who comes into the office a couple of times a week and goes on grocery runs (though I am the proclaimed snack queen this semester). You’re a valuable part of the team and Erin, Grace, and Sidney make sure that you know just how important you are on a daily basis. The way OM emphasizes, leans on, and appreciates their interns is a beautiful, rare thing and I’m so glad that, in a town of millions of opportunities, I was given this one.

Not only have I learned many valuable professional skills while interning here - from merch fulfillment to successful marketing and outreach - I’ve learned how to be a better leader through watching the way Erin leads our small but mighty team. I’ve learned how important it is to step back and be proud of the work that you’ve done, and how much easier it is to do work when you love the people you’re doing it with. I’m over the moon to continue with you all next semester.

All my love, Miriam

Ty Ellenbogen

Reflecting on what this experience at OM has meant to me, I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of this team. It is a dynamic rooted in collaboration, enthusiasm, and fun. During my time as an intern, I have always felt heard, valued, and respected; I can’t thank the team enough for the opportunity to be a part of the OM family (and that really is the best word for it)!

I have nothing but respect for how Erin leads this company— she is kind, passionate, understanding, and hard-working. Her transparency in sharing with us how she navigates the less-than-glamorous parts of artist management has been such a valuable resource in learning how to handle challenges with grace. She leads by example in everything she does, both in and out of the workplace; I look up to her not only as a leader and entrepreneur, but as an individual.

In my first interaction with Erin and Grace before I was an intern, they explained that their hope is to provide interns with a rich experience that will equip them with skills they can use no matter where they go. During my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to develop practical skills through social media marketing, internal record keeping, app integration design, and more. More importantly, though, I’m walking away with lifelong skills in problem solving and team building that I’ll be able to rely upon wherever I end up next.

I’m truly sad to leave this team behind — Erin, Grace, and Sidney have been a joy to work with, and I wish nothing but the best for Miriam and Frazier as they continue to contribute to the OM team next semester!

Let’s Take a Look at What We Are Listening to Here at OM!

By Grace Frazier

Of course, our artists come first in our listening preferences… so along with our favorites, we wanted to share what we have been going back to recently. Whether we are driving, working at the office, or hanging with friends, these songs are a representation of who we are over here at OM!
