“One of my favorite parts of attending music conferences is putting together panels that I hope will be helpful to independent musicians. This year for FAI, I am so pumped about the lineup for this panel- some old and dear friends with decades of knowledge about promoting shows, plus our very own Grace Carey-Hill who kicks ass selling out tours for our management clients. It will be fun AND educational. What more could you ask for?” - Erin

Grace Carey-Hill

Grace Carey-Hill

“Excited to be attending FAI and Canada for the first time! I can’t wait to learn from industry professionals, meet new people, and catch up with friends from Nashville and beyond. I’m especially looking forward to helping host our showcases and being part of our tour marketing panel—it’s going to be such a great conversation. Really hoping to help independent artists make their tours even better!” - Grace

New Album 'Stellar Evolution'

“Aaron Lee Tasjan’s Stellar Evolution is a record with songwriting beholden to nothing — no expectations, and certainly no genre. Just the pure sense of wonder and discovery that had made him fall in love with music as a kid in Orange County, devouring it all with no understanding or care for what was ‘cool.’

Josh Radnor Brings "Eulogy II" to Life on Tour

by Julia Reiss

We’re thrilled that our very own Josh Radnor is hitting the road for The Eulogy II Tour! This tour marks an exciting chapter for Josh as he brings his unique blend of heartfelt storytelling and musical talent to audiences across the country, featuring songs from his new album, Eulogy, Vol II.

Eulogy II Album Cover

Behind The Album

In early 2022, Josh Radnor left Los Angeles after a tough breakup and turned to music for healing. With his dog Nelson and a collection of songs, he headed to Nashville, where he created his debut solo double album, Eulogy: Volume I + II. Through this process, he transformed personal heartache into a powerful journey of reflection and growth.

The result is a 23-track folk-Americana collection that blends timeless storytelling with intimate, meditative melodies. Produced by a team of Nashville collaborators, the album combines classic Americana sturdiness with modern twists, drawing comparisons to legendary artists like Bob Dylan and Neil Young. Radnor describes the songs as “mini-funerals,” each one honoring and letting go of parts of himself no longer serving him. Vulnerability and introspection are woven into every track, creating a deeply emotional and relatable listening experience.

Stay connected with Josh Radnor and keep up with all the latest updates, music, and tour announcements by following him on social media! Check out his pages below and join the journey:

OM Book Club Recap and What's to Come!

by Sam Van Arsdale

As we step into the new year, Olivia Management's reading list for our fellow bookworms continues to expand. If you haven’t had a chance to explore our recommended reads on creative processes, life in the industry, business strategies, and cultivating healthy work-life habits, we invite you to check out our picks from 2024.

In our February book club pick, Elizabeth Gilbert inspires readers to live creatively. She shares practical tips and personal stories to help us embrace curiosity, overcome fear, and build habits that support creativity.

In May’s book club read Shep Gordon writes a memoir about his remarkable career in the entertainment industry, managing icons like Alice Cooper and Jimi Hendrix and creating the "celebrity chef" movement.

Our June book club pick follows psychologist Angela Duckworth as she reveals that the key to success isn’t talent, but a unique combination of passion and perseverance. She explores the importance of grit and depicts how persistence drives outstanding achievement.

In this pick from September and October, Legendary music producer Rick Rubin explores the idea that creativity is not about a specific output but about cultivating a deep, authentic connection with the world.

November and December focused on James Clear as he reveals a proven system for building good habits and breaking bad ones by focusing on the small, daily behaviors that lead to remarkable results, supported by insights from science and real-life success stories.

If you are looking for a fresh book to undertake in the upcoming month, our January selection “Saved by a Song: The Art and Healing Power of Songwriting” our own client, Mary Gauthier, blends memoir, philosophy of art, practical songwriting advice, and explores the transformative and healing power of songs and the songwriting process. We read “Saved by a Song” in January and we’re so excited that a paperback version is set to release January 28, 2025!

Happy reading—we are so excited to keep growing Olivia Management’s bookshelf with you!

Meet Julia

Julia is in her senior year at Vanderbilt University studying musical performance and business. Her favorite artist is The Lumineers and when she’s not joining us in the office or in class, she enjoys baking and anything crafty!

Meet Sam

Sam is a senior at Belmont University majoring in Music Business with an emphasis in Music Production. Currently, her favorite artist is Dominic Fike and, in her free time, she loves to cook, journal, and go hiking!

Meet Faith

Faith is also a senior at Belmont University studying Media and Entertainment with a minor in Studio Art. Her favorite band is currently Wild Rivers and, when she’s not in class or in the office, she loves to bake and draw. This is Faith’s second semester here at Olivia Management and we’re so grateful to have her back!

OM Spotify Wrapped!

By Miriam DeYoung

It’s the middle of December, which means it’s Spotify wrapped season! I hope you’ve enjoyed the nostalgia of looking back on your listening year and that the algorithm didn’t call you out too much. We all had our pink pop princess pilates summer, so it’s okay, I promise.

In case you didn’t know, artists also get a Spotify wrapped with all of their listener stats, so we wanted to take a moment here to celebrate their success over this past year and thank everyone who’s listened to our artists in 2024. Whether you were dancing to Alex Blue’s new pop EP “Day Job: Pretty in Pop” or having a reflective moment to Josh Radnor’s new album “Eulogy, Vol II.” we here at Olivia Management really do appreciate every listen.

The craziest part of our Olivia Management Spotify Wrapped is that, between all of our full-time management, project management, and consulting clients, we’ve had over 71 years of listening just over the last 12 months. To put that in context, that would be the equivalent of one person listening to our artists’ music nonstop since 1953 (which causes all sorts of quantum realm questions, but luckily, it’s just for context).

Check out our other accomplishments over the last year as well! We’re so thankful for all of the amazing people we’ve worked with, the music we’ve helped release, and the shows we’ve helped put on. Here’s to 2025!

Fall 2024 Intern Wrap Up!

By Lexi Ann Staebler

Being a part of the Olivia Management team has been such a rewarding and joyful experience these past few months! As this semester and our time at Olivia Management comes to a close, my fellow interns and I wanted to share things we’ve learned, our favorite stories, and how these experiences impacted us.

Alexa Sangalis

As a sophomore, this was my very first interning experience and I was super nervous to start. However, I soon found out that there was nothing to worry about. Olivia Management has a team of wonderful and supportive ladies who deeply care about who you are as a person. Every question I had was answered with care and I always felt at ease working alongside the OM team. I have gained so much experience and knowledge these past few months from Erin and everybody else that I will carry with me for a very long time.
My favorite memory was working at our AMERICANAFEST events and seeing all of the team’s preparation in action. The shows put in perspective to me the meaning behind the work OM does and how it affects these artists’ lives. Every little thing OM does has a purpose. They put so much work in and to see it all unfold was amazing. I’ve truly learned so much and I will miss everybody so much next semester! (I’ll be studying abroad in Greece so I’ll survive, but still, love you all!!)

Charlotte Ulman

Interning at Olivia Management this fall for my second semester at OM has been nothing short of amazing! As a senior music business major, I am always looking for hands on, real world experience for my career. Olivia Management has provided me with just that! Throughout my time here, I have had the privilege of working alongside a team of dedicated professionals who are deeply passionate about their work. I am so grateful for the opportunity to return this fall as an intern after my summer semester with Olivia Management! I truly am going to miss coming into the office everyday and working with the best team around.

Faith Harting

Interning at Olivia Management has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The team is fantastic—always supportive and willing to answer any questions I have. I have loved working with each one of them. Their guidance has been invaluable, and I've learned so much about the music industry, from day-to-day operations to the bigger picture. I also had the opportunity to connect with some wonderful people in the music industry that I would not have met without this internship. I truly appreciate the opportunity to contribute and grow in such a positive and collaborative environment. I cannot wait to continue being a part of The Olivia Management team next semester!

Lexi Ann Staebler

During the last few months, my knowledge of the music industry has greatly expanded through my first-hand experiences with our artists and team at Olivia Management. I’ve had many incredible once-in-a-lifetime experiences, such as assisting with the development of Olivia Management’s AMERICANAFEST show and getting to go backstage and run merch for our artist, Mary Gauthier, at Nashville’s historically famous Ryman Auditorium. In addition, I’ve gained insight into tour operations, tips and tricks to build artists’ fanbases and elements in the interconnections between artist, management, and other key team members which together form the artist’s success. I’ll cherish not only the personal growth and knowledge I’ve gained at Olivia Management, but also the relationships with my fellow team members I’ve made in office and outside at special events. One of my favorite fun memories at OM was our pumpkin carving contest! Another amazing memory was the OM coffee and donut hour before our OM AMERICANAFEST showcase where I had the opportunity to meet some of our lovely artists and consulting clients! I’ll miss coming into the office and seeing these sweet, caring ladies next semester but will absolutely be keeping in touch!

Our Artists Best Music Videos

By: Charlotte Ulman

Our artists here at Olivia Management have some amazing music videos and we thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane and pick out our favorite of each of our artists music videos!

Never Been High - Alex Blue
Visually stunning and deeply personal, a portrayal of self-discovery and emotional vulnerability, Alex’s “Never Been High” video mirrors the song’s introspective tone, blending gentle, acoustic melodies with striking visual storytelling. Alex's performance captures a raw and authentic energy, emphasizing the theme of navigating life’s highs and lows without relying on external influences.

Drag Queens in Limousines (2024) - Mary Gauthier
Mary Gauthier’s music video for “Drag Queens in Limousines” is a touching and powerful celebration of individuality and resilience. The anniversary video brings the song to life with heartfelt scenes that show people embracing who they are, despite life’s challenges. Through simple but meaningful storytelling, it highlights the importance of diversity and acceptance.

Hypocrite - Ruthie Collins
This music video is a beautifully emotional and visually striking portrayal of vulnerability and self-reflection. Set against a moody and intimate backdrop, the video captures Ruthie’s raw performance as she explores the complexities of heartbreak and personal growth. The visuals perfectly complement the song’s heartfelt lyrics, creating a sense of connection and authenticity. With its simplicity and emotional depth, the video draws viewers in and amplifies the powerful message of the song.

“Boys Will Be Girls” - Derek Webb featuring Flamy Grant
The music video is a bold and thought-provoking piece that challenges societal norms and expectations. Featuring vivid, striking visuals and Webb’s emotionally charged performance, turning himself into a drag queen, the video dives into themes of identity, empathy, and breaking free from stereotypes. The video enhances the song’s impact, leaving a lasting impression.

Mary Gauthier plays the Ryman, opening for Jason Isbell

By Charlotte Ulman

On October 12th our very own Mary Gauthier opened for Jason Isbell at the Ryman! The Ryman holds a special place in Nashville’s music history, and for Mary to perform on that stage, especially alongside an artist like Jason Isbell, was a significant milestone. This was Mary’s first full set at the Ryman!

The Ryman's atmosphere and acoustics were a perfect match for Mary’s music, allowing her voice and lyrics to fill the room with an intimate, haunting beauty. Songs like “Mercy Now” resonate with themes of resilience, empathy, and redemption. We could see her stories striking a chord with the audience. She ended her set to a complete standing ovation from the crowd! It’s always rewarding to witness Mary’s work touch people in such a powerful way, especially in a venue that has hosted so many of the greats. The audience was drawn into her every word, and the energy in the room was palpable. Check out the videos and pictures below of that night!

AMERICANAFEST Wrap Up - From An Intern!

By Alexa Sangalis

Now that all AMERICANAFEST events are completed and everyone’s life is back to normal, it’s time to reminisce on what a fabulous week that was! We had the pleasure of being a part of so many events at AMERICANAFEST this year, and so did I (Olivia Management’s 19-year-old intern, Alexa!). I felt so lucky and awe-struck by each of the events I attended, especially the ones OM produced. Call me biased. I went to two of our events this year: A Tribute to Mary Gauthier and In The Round. If you didn’t get the chance to catch the events in person, don’t worry, click here to see our Olivia Management highlight of the week on Instagram.

Mary Gauthier and friends backstage at City Winery

Last Tuesday, we kicked off the week with the Tribute to Mary Gauthier at City Winery. The lineup of this show was truly one of a kind. Mary is such a beautiful songwriter who has influenced so many musicians and touched the hearts of Americana music lovers everywhere. Mary’s songs were covered all through the night by many of her close friends, including EmmyLou Harris, Gretchen Peters, Lori McKenna, Jamiee Harris, and so many more. I had a unique perspective of the event because I had the job of working the merch table with some fellow friends from Olivia Management. Almost everybody who came up to purchase something (speaking of which, you can also buy Mary’s amazing merch here) shared a bit of their love for Mary with us. We met a woman who flew from Australia to celebrate her love of folk music, many, many people who praised Mary’s book, “Saved by a Song,” a man who got his book signed by Mary herself, and even a City Winery employee who asked who was performing because she loved the music so much. I knew that Mary Gauthier is critically acclaimed and appreciated by many, but I only knew this after experiencing the tribute and meeting all of those lovely Americana lovers. Click HERE to see some performance highlights!

Evan Boyer performing at In The Round Presented by Olivia Management

Then, on Saturday, it was a showcase of Olivia Management clients at Jackalope Brewing Company. In case you didn’t know, not only are we a Nashville-based folk and Americana artist management company, but we also consult for emerging artists. Our lovely CEO and Founder, Erin Anderson, advises artists in career decisions and helps them organize their lives as an artist. So Saturday was 7 amazing hours of showcasing our consulting and management clients alike. Click HERE to view the full lineup, and HERE to watch some highlights of the day! Once again, I had the pleasure of working the merch table for most of the morning. This time, I got to talk with emerging artists, make the merch table all pretty as each artist rotated, and meet audience members who were actively discovering the new music they would be streaming in the future. This showcase was really special for me. Seeing so many people who have a dream and a love of music is inspiring to anybody, and especially to a 19-year-old intern.

Mary Gauthier and Jamiee Harris Performing at City Winery

Here’s a recap: our management clients are awesome, our consulting clients are awesome, and Olivia Management is awesome. From my perspective, AMERICANAFEST is a celebration of good music (of course), good songwriting, and good times. Even as an intern, I was able to experience all of these celebrations firsthand. If you didn’t go to any Olivia Management events, you may have missed out, but now you know to join us in the future. Until then, check out our artists on tour and stay tuned for Olivia Management updates on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and our website.

We’ll see you next year, AMERICANAFEST!

Welcoming our Fall 2024 Interns!

Here at Olivia Management, we thrive off of teamwork, which is why it’s so exciting every season when we get to welcome our new interns! This fall, we have four lovely student interns from Belmont University joining our team to help us serve our artists!

Alexa Sangalis

Alexa Sangalis

Alexa is a senior songwriting major and music business minor at Belmont University. She’s been obsessed with the songs “Second Nature” by Clairo and “360” by Charli XCX. Though it can’t be pinpointed to this exact moment, Alexa shares that she remembers begging her mom for a guitar when she was 7 and her love for music has only grown since then. Her favorite places in Nashville are (not biased at all) Belmont and the music venues in town!

Charlotte Ulman

Charlotte Ulman

Charlotte is a senior music business major with an emphasis in tour operations at Belmont University. As of recent, Twenty One Pilots and Jeremy Zucker have been frequent artists she’s been listening to. Her interest for the music industry and desire to be a part of the live show process sparked from playing guitar in School of Rock growing up and going to concerts! Her favorite places in Nashville are music venues, specifically Brooklyn Bowl and The Basement East.

Faith Harting

Faith Harting

Faith is a senior Media and Entertainment major with a minor of Studio Art at Belmont University. Two songs she’s been enjoying listening to are “Love You Tonight” by Ella Langley and “Roulette on the Heart” by Conner Smith & Hailey Whitters. Growing up, she remembers music always playing around her house, which has brought joy to her life and long-term inspired her to enter into the music business! Her favorite places in Nashville are 21st Ave and 12th South because she loves the cute coffee shops and shopping— more specifically, the sweet little farm stand during the Fall on 12th.

Lexi Staebler

Lexi Staebler

Lexi is majoring in songwriting with a minor in music business at Belmont University. Her favorite song right now is “Die with a Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Her love for music came from her love for entertaining/being a performer, which has developed into writing her own original music which she plays with her band. Her favorite place in Nashville is the late “WildHorse Saloon,” a classic line-dancing establishment located off of the main Broadway strip.

We’re looking forward to another great season, developing and working side by side with our artists!
